The impact of the tourism industry on global economies is by far established. Well, its a double edged impact. One, on the economy. And the other on the sustainability of the land, its people, heritage, cuture, flora & fauna etc. Sustainable tourism is on a global upward trend. It will be wise for most developing countries like india to invest and focus on responsible agri and rural tourism, so that the major percent of their land and people get a direct benefit. Like for many countries, this could be the last solution to mend the broken backbone of rural and remote regions.
